Pytheas – origin of the name
A Greek geographer, explorer, and astronomer from the Greek colony of Massalia (modern-day Marseille, France), Pytheas undertook a voyage of exploration to Northern Europe in 325BC. This journey marked the first Greek circumnavigation of the British Isles, the first sighting of the Arctic and polar ice, and the first recorded engagement with Celtic and German tribes. Pytheas embodies courage, exploration, and achievement, qualities shared by our clients.
